The selection of dresses on your site is enormous! Do you have all of these in your shop to try-on? No. Gowns shown on the site are all available for purchase, but not all available for try-on at our shop. Please contact us to see if we have the sample of the particular style you are interested in. We also may stock a different color of the dress than shown. It is best to inquire as to what is currently in our store.
Are you an Authorized Retailer for the designers shown? YES! We are 100% authorized to sell by every designer shown. All merchandise is ordered directly from the manufacturer by Bella Sposa Bridal. Feel confident that there is no 'third-party' involved.
I noticed that only certain merchandise is available for direct sale on your site. Why is that? As an independantly owned Bridal Store, we are commited to the highest level of customer service and standard of excellence with regard to Internet sales. Our full-service approach includes services which we cannot properly perform without our customer present.
When should I begin shopping for my wedding gown?
Many brides begin shopping 1 year ahead and most order their gowns about 9 months prior to their wedding date. That allows you enough time to narrow down your selection and have the order arrive with plenty of time for alterations.
Do I have to pay for my gown in full at the time of purchase?
A 50% deposit is required to order your wedding gown. The remaining balance is due when your gown comes in. All gowns must be paid in full prior to any alterations.
What if my wedding is less than 9 months away (or Sooner?? )
Most of our designers will accommodate your rush order, however rush fees will apply. Some even have 'hanging stock', where gowns can be shipped out within a week. A salon visit is imperative to view styles of interest, sizes and color availability.
Bella Sposa has an "in stock" section of gowns which can be purchased and taken home on the same day. Purchasing one of these gowns is a wonderful option when time is limited or you are on a tight budget. Please make an appointment to visit our salon to view the current selection.
When should I begin shopping for my Mothers gown?
Mother-of-the wedding gowns can take up to 16 weeks. Time must also be allowed for alterations. To eliminate rush fees (and stress) we recommend ordering the dress about 6 months prior.
When should I begin shopping for my Bridesmaids?
Maids can take up to 12 weeks. Your order will be placed with the designer when the complete group has been measured and all payments have been collected. This is to ensure that all dresses are cut from the same fabric dye lot. Maids are paid in full at time of order.
What if some of my Bridesmaids/Groomsmen are from out-of town?
Your maids can email their measurements and desired size to us.
Can I bring babies, toddlers or children with me to my appointment?
We prefer that you do not. Many bridal stores do not allow children at all. We also understand that they are part of the family and you want to include them in this process. However, other brides in the store may not look so favorably about having your little ones around. Choosing your wedding gown is one of the most important decisions you will make for your wedding. You are most likely bringing those whose opinions you value most. You, your guests and our bridal consultant need to be able to focus and concentrate without distraction. We strongly suggest leaving the little ones at home so everyone can share this experience and be completely attentive to YOU!
I have a large group of family and friends who want to come to my appointment. Can I bring them all?
Our bridal area is not very large so we can only accomodate 3 of your guests. Please choose those whose opinion you value and who you want to share the experience of buying your gown. Too many opinions will confuse you and take the focus off of you.
Are alterations included? How much can I expect to pay?
No. Alteration prices can vary greatly depending on the style, fabric, beading, and extent of alterations needed. For this reason all alterations are priced on an individual basis once our seamstress has seen you in your dress and can see exactly what is required to custom fit your dress. Most bridal and formal dresses require some sort of alteration for a perfect fit. An experienced bridal seamstress who does quality work and is willing to take the time needed with each and every customer is the key to achieving a perfect fit. We feel that alterations are an important aspect of the bridal gown experience. Quality is key. Experience has shown that free alterations result in poor workmanship.
Will you alter, press, steam and prep my dress for my wedding day if it was purchased elsewhere?
Yes. Please call us to set up an appointment for an estimate which is based on your particular dress.
